ABOUT US

The School of Pharmacy at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Samayapuram, Trichy, is a renowned Pharmacy institution in India. Established in 2022, the school is committed to providing high-quality education and research in the field of Pharmacy. It is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.


The school offers Undergraduate and Diploma programs in Pharmacy, including a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm). The curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of Pharmaceutical sciences, including drug design and development, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

About Dean:

Dr. Akilandeswari S., with 32 years of teaching and research experience, stands out as a distinguished pharmaceutical researcher, boasting a notable German patent for an innovative osmotic push-pull pump system. Her significant contributions extend to impactful publications on the wound healing and anti-ulcer activities of various herbal plants. She recognized as an "Eminent Researcher" by the Tamil Nadu All Registered Pharmacist Welfare Association in "Pharma Award" 2022 and received accolades for her Excellent Service in the Pharmaceutical Profession in "Pharma Awards" 2023 at Erode. Hailing from the School of Pharmacy at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University in Samayapuram, Trichy, she has selected for "Kalvi Natchathira Virudhu" by "Aram Seiya Virumbu Arakattalai - Aram Viruthugal 2023" event, acknowledging her remarkable dedication to academic service over the span of 32 years. Dr. Akilandeswari S. has also been recognized with Best Paper Awards for her research presentations at various national and international conferences.

Highlighting her capability to secure support for pioneering research, she successfully obtained a substantial research grant of Rs 14 Lakhs from AICTE – New Delhi for her work on "Herbal Trends in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis". Undoubtedly, Dr. Akilandeswari S. stands as a trailblazer in her field, making significant contributions to both academic and research aspects in pharmaceutical technology. Her commendable dedication to advancing knowledge and finding innovative solutions for medical challenges is truly noteworthy.

School of pharmacy has signed a memorandam of Undertaking (MoU) with well-established Dr Sriram Publications and Genesis Research Labs, Hyderabad, on 17-05-2024 at Dsu Trichy Campus. The purpose of this MoU is to state the intentions of the Parties in Undertaking a Collaboration in the research and publications.

Industrial Visit - 1

K.S.Variers Ashtanga Ayurvedics Pvt Ltd

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of School of Pharmacy , I-B. Pharm students industrial visit to K.S.Variers Ashtanga Ayurvedics Pvt Ltd and Pharmssan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers on 11.06.2024.

At Ashtanga Ayurvedics, we were privileged to observe their state-of-the-art production facilities, where traditional Ayurvedic wisdom meets modern technology. The visit highlighted the meticulous steps taken to ensure the purity and efficacy of their herbal formulations. Our team learned about the rigorous quality assurance protocols and the innovative approaches employed to maintain the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.

Similarly, at Pharmassan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, we were impressed by their manufacturing units showcased the advanced machinery and stringent regulatory compliance measures in place. We gained a deeper understanding of the manufacturing, testing, and packaging processes that contribute to the creation of high-quality pharmaceutical products.

Both visits were instrumental in broadening our knowledge and appreciation of the pharmaceutical industry's complexities


Industrial Visit - 2

Pharmssun Pharmaceutical Company

An industrial visit was arranged for Ist B.Pharm students on the 7th and 11th of June 2024, organized by School of Pharmacy, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University. On June 7th, 2024, 50 students and 2 faculty members visited Pharmssun Pharmaceutical Company. During the visit, students learned about the preparation of Liquid Oral Medications, Operation of a Colloidal mill, External preparations such as liniments and lotions, Packaging and labeling operations of Syrup containers. Mr. S.Rajaram, The Managing Director, addressed the students, emphasizing the significance of the Pharmaceutical field and encouraging them to engage in research.

Simultaneously, another group of 50 students and 2 faculty members visited K.S. Varier’s Ashtanga Ayurvedics (P) Ltd. Dr. Sasi Variyar, the Managing Director, explained the fundamental needs of the Ayurvedic industry and the facilities available at the site. The students visited each unit, where Dr.Variyar described the extraction, standardization procedures of Ayurvedic products, their therapeutic uses, and the quarantine area for various Ayurvedic preparations. The students participated enthusiastically and gained valuable insights into the industry.



Industrial Visit - 3

Emmchak Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd

On 21.08.2024, Our D.Pharm students have visited Emmchak pharmaceuticals pvt Ltd Industry as part of our academic curriculum. The visit provided valuable insights into the practical applications of theoretical concepts learned in the classroom. The team at the Industry warmly welcomed us and gave an in-depth tour of their manufacturing facilities, highlighting various processes and technologies used in their operations. The visit was organised by Ms. N. Pavithra and Mr. Sardar khan. The interaction with industry professionals was highly informative, particularly regarding Liquid oral preparation and soild preparations. The experience was educational and inspiring, contributing significantly to our professional development.
