The course aims to prepare the candidates for professional autonomy and excellence in Physiotherapy practice. It aims to produce graduates with excellent communication skills who are to function as independent clinicians and as fully interactive members of the multi disciplinary health care team.
The duration of the course shall be four years of full time study and six months of compulsory rotatory internship.
English shall be the medium of instruction for all the subjects of study and for the examinations of the course.
The course of study is shown in Table I. The detailed syllabus in respect of the course is appended to this regulation.
Examination will be conducted in both theory and practical, as prescribed. Candidates will be permitted to appear for the University Examination in the subject only if they secure not less than 80% attendance (irrespective of the kind of absence) in each subject of that academic year.
Internal assessment will be done in each subject of study and the marks will be awarded to the candidates detailed in the scheme of examinations. The marks awarded will be on the basis of assessment made from the candidate’s performance in the assignments, class tests, laboratory work, preparation and presentation of seminars and clinical cases. The marks secured by the candidate during each year in each subject shall be forwarded to the University at the end of the semester/academic year, i.e., before the commencement of the written examination.
The University Examinations will be conducted in the Annual pattern for all the four years.
The particulars of subjects for various examinations and distribution of marks are shown separately in the Table II.
The examination for the main subjects will be conducted by the University and for the non-examination subjects by the school.
The maximum number of candidates for practical examination should not exceed 20 per day. One internal and one external examiner should jointly conduct practical examination for each student. An examiner should be an Assistant Professor/ Lecturer or above in the college of Physiotherapy with minimum 3 years of teaching experience.
A candidate should secure 50% of the marks in theory and 50% in practical (wherever prescribed) separately and 50% in aggregate in each paper, to be declared as pass in each paper. If a candidate fails in either theory or practical, he/she has to re- appear for both theory and practical.
A candidate shall secure 50% of total marks in the test conducted by the college for the non-examination subject.
The maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed a period of eight years.
There shall be a compulsory full-time rotatory internship after the candidate having passed all the subjects prescribed in the scheme of examination. The internship should be done for a period of six months, and not less than 180 days, in an Institution/ Hospital approved by the University. No candidate shall be eligible for the award of the degree without successfully completing the six months of internship.
The internship should be completed within one year from the date of commencement of internship, and should be started within two years after passing the final examinations.
The internship training areas related to Physiotherapy are mentioned in TableI.
The candidates shall be eligible for the Degree of Bachelor of Physiotherapy when they have undergone the prescribed course of study for a period of not less than four years in University and have passed the prescribed examinations in all subjects and have completed a compulsory internship over a period of six months, after having passed the final examination.

An industrial visit arranged for I and II MBA students on 12 & 13th of June 2024, organised by School of Management, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University. On June 12th 120 students and 6 faculty members visited MASCO Tea Industry. On 2nd. Day visited Kerala Electrical company. Students had the opportunity to witness first-hand application of theoretical knowledge in real World settings interact with professionals and explore the latest technological advancements.
An industrial visit arranged for III- MBA Students on 25 th 26 th March 2024, organised by school of Management, Dhanalakshmi srinivasan university.on 25 th March 25 students and 2 faculty members visited sri ayngaran industry.sri ayngaran industry was an enriching experience that provided practical insights into the real world application of production and operation management.
On 2 nd day 26 th of March visited to the kodai chocolate industry - kodaikanal.It was a delightful and informative experience and also deeper understanding of the chocolate manufacturing process and its business operation.
School of Management organised an Industrial Visit on 27/08/2024 to Parle Biscuit Factory located at Kappalur, Madurai district for II-year MBA students. The visit was organized with prior permission and guidance of our Honourable Vice Chancellor. As part of AICTE directives, Industrial Visit provide students, professionals, or individuals with practical insights into the industry. The main objective of this visit is to, help the students to understand about the practical application of theoretical concepts learned in class or training, to observe the latest technologies and innovations used in the industry, their potential career paths and job roles within the industry. The entire production process of biscuits, from ingredient preparation and dough mixing to baking and packaging. The learning outcomes from an industrial visit to Parle Biscuit Factory encompass a broad understanding of the manufacturing process, technological advancements, quality control, and best practices in the industry. Additionally, it provides practical insights into supply chain management, sustainability efforts, and career opportunities, all of which are valuable for personal and professional development.
School of Management organized an Industrial Visit on 29th August 2024 at "VIJAY DAIRY AND FARM PRODUCTS PVT LTD., TRICHY" for the students of II MBA. The visit was organized with prior permission and approval from Hon. Vice Chancellor sir. Industrial visit was carried out for enhancing practical industrial knowledge of MBA students. As a Part of the AICTE guidelines and directives, Industrial Trips are organized by the colleges under the Educational Trip, so that the students can stay updated with latest business environment. Industrial visits are usually organized for educational purposes, to provide participants with practical knowledge and exposure that complements their theoretical learning. It helps in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Industrial visits play a crucial role in career development and decision-making for students and professionals alike. They provide firsthand experience that cannot be replicated in a classroom, offering practical insights that are valuable for both personal and professional growth.
1. Procurement Process: Understands the process involved in collecting milk from local farmers by fixing many milk collection centers and it has been reached through proper milk trucks and vans.
2. Production of Milk and Milk based Products: Gained proper knowledge in how the production process involved in making milk and milk based products.
3. Quality Standards:students can able to understand the various quality standards involved in maintaining the quality of the final product.
As a part of our ongoing effort to enhance knowledge and industry insights, our II MBA 51 Students visited vetha milk industry on 20/09/2024. The objective of the visit was to gain insights into a dairy industry’s best practices, technology, and management practices. We observed state of art infrastructure, emphasis on quality and hygiene, efficient supply chain management and innovative products.
To experience the working environment in industry and visualize all the departments in the industry and to make the students aware of the industrial procedures, our II MBA 51 students visited Naga Limited on 23/09/2024. This industrial visit will enhance the student's knowledge on technology related to the food industry. It helps in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.Industrial visits play a crucial role in career development and decision-making for students and professionals alike. They provide first-hand experience that cannot be replicated in a classroom, offering practical insights that are valuable for both personal and professional growth.
