The Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University – School of Architecture was established in 2023, while the School of Design was established in 2026. The schools focus on academic excellence through effective interaction with eminent professionals in the fields of architecture and design, along with individual mentoring programmes.

About Dean:

Graduated from NIT-Bhopal did his masters in architecture from Anna University, Chennai and PhD from Anna university-Chennai,

He is a renowned academician, distinguished professor, and accomplished professional in the field of Architecture and Architectural Education, with more than three decades of rich and extensive academic experience. Over the course of his illustrious career, he has made significant contributions to architectural education, academic administration, curriculum development, professional practice, and research.

A respected and experienced academic leader, Dr. S.Radhakrishnan has served in various academic capacities and has been associated with several reputed institutions. He has been a Member of Boards of Studies in numerous universities and higher educational institutions, contributing his expertise towards curriculum formulation, academic development, and quality enhancement in architectural education.

His academic and professional expertise has also been recognized by statutory and regulatory bodies. He has served as a member of Inspection Committees nominated by the Council of Architecture (CoA) and has been associated with inspection and academic evaluation activities of Anna University and other reputed institutions. Through these responsibilities, he has contributed substantially to maintaining and strengthening academic standards in architectural education.

Dr.S. Radhakrishnan has a strong interest in architectural research, sustainable design, vernacular architecture, housing, climate-responsive architecture, and contemporary architectural education. His academic journey is supported by a commendable record of scholarly contributions, with around 20 publications in various academic and professional forums.

He has also been actively involved in academic enrichment and professional development programmes, having organized and participated in around 30 workshops, symposiums, conferences, and NASA-related academic activities. His involvement in such programmes reflects his continuous commitment to knowledge sharing, student development, professional engagement, and the advancement of architectural education.

Beyond his academic credentials, Dr.S. Radhakrishnan is recognized for his dedication to teaching, mentorship, institutional development, and nurturing young architectural professionals. His extensive experience, academic leadership, research orientation, and commitment to architectural education have made him a respected figure among students, faculty members, academic institutions, and the professional community.
