The School of Allied Health Sciences marked a significant step in strengthening its research culture with the inauguration of the Journal Club on 08.07.2025 for Postgraduates. The inauguration of the Journal Club stands as a milestone initiative by SAHS, aimed at cultivating evidence-based learning, improving research literacy, and inspiring students to actively engage with scientific literature.
The inauguration commenced with a lecture by Dr. Tamilarasan on critiquing journal articles, offering participants valuable insights into evaluating scientific literature with a critical and analytical lens; an essential skill for budding researchers and healthcare professionals. To make the event engaging and interactive, the Research Coordinators organized a series of competitions including e-poster presentations, a quiz on research fundamentals, and a lively connection competition designed to test both knowledge and creativity.
The Journal Club stands as a milestone aimed at cultivating evidence-based learning, improving research literacy, and inspiring students to actively engage with scientific literature.
