Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Conducts an Insightful Seminar on IT Entrepreneurship, Start-ups, and Career Opportunities
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, School of Engineering and Technology, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, successfully organized a seminar on "IT Entrepreneurship: Innovation, Start-ups and Career Opportunities" on 24 July 2026 at the Seminar Hall, SET Block.
The seminar was conducted under the esteemed guidance of the University Management and was convened by Dr. Sasikumar Gurumoorthy, Dean i/c, School of Engineering and Technology. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students, providing an excellent platform to explore innovation and entrepreneurial opportunities in the IT sector.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. K. Susil Kumar, CEO, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation (CEDI), National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli. During his session, he shared valuable insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem, innovation-driven business models, start-up incubation, funding opportunities, and the essential skills required to build successful technology ventures.
The resource person also emphasized the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset among students, encouraging them to transform innovative ideas into impactful start-ups. He highlighted various government initiatives, incubation support, industry collaborations, and emerging career opportunities available for aspiring entrepreneurs in the rapidly evolving IT landscape.
The interactive session enabled students to engage with the expert, clarify their queries, and gain practical knowledge about launching technology-based ventures and pursuing careers in innovation and entrepreneurship.
