The Department of Cyber Security, School of Engineering and Technology, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, successfully organized an insightful seminar titled "Threat Talks – Modern Cyber Threats & Career", providing students with valuable knowledge on the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape and emerging career opportunities.
The seminar brought together faculty members and students, offering an engaging platform to understand the latest cyber threats, digital security challenges, and the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals across industries.
The resource person delivered an informative session on modern cyber threats, including ransomware attacks, phishing, social engineering, malware, data breaches, and emerging AI-driven cyberattacks. The session also emphasized the importance of cyber hygiene, ethical hacking, digital forensics, cloud security, and proactive defense strategies in safeguarding digital assets.
In addition to the technical insights, the speaker highlighted the diverse career opportunities available in the field of cybersecurity, including roles such as Cyber Security Analyst, Ethical Hacker, Security Consultant, Incident Response Analyst, Penetration Tester, and Digital Forensics Expert. Students were also introduced to globally recognized certifications, industry expectations, and the essential technical and professional skills required to build a successful career in cybersecurity.
The interactive question-and-answer session encouraged students to actively engage with the expert, enabling them to gain practical insights into industry trends and future career pathways.
