The programme was conducted in collaboration with HICC, SMCH.The workshop was held under the leadership of the university authorities and coordinated by Dr. J. Sathiya Priya, Dean, College of Nursing, with Dr. P. Bharathi serving as the Organising Secretary. The session focused on essential practices in infection prevention, safe handling, and disposal of biomedical waste.Participants gained practical knowledge and skills through demonstrations and interactive sessions, enhancing their competency in maintaining safety standards in healthcare settings. The programme was highly informative and beneficial for both faculty and students.The workshop also emphasized adherence to standard precautions and hospital protocols to minimize healthcare-associated infections. Overall, the programme strengthened participants’ awareness and responsibility towards safe and sustainable healthcare practices.
