The College of Nursing, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, organized a World No Tobacco Day Seminar on 30th May 2025 under the theme "Unmasking the Appeal" in collaboration with the Department of Public Health, Tiruchirappalli. The programme featured Dr. Vasantha, District Tobacco Control Consultant; Mr. P. Elangovan, Technical Personal Assistant; and Mr. S. Srinivasan, District Health Educator as the resource persons. They highlighted the harmful effects of tobacco use, tobacco control measures, and the importance of creating a tobacco-free society. Nursing students and faculty members actively participated in the seminar and enhanced their knowledge. A quiz competition was conducted following the session, and Ms. Nancy, IV Year B.Sc. Nursing, and Ms. Kokila, IV Year B.Sc. Nursing, emerged as the winners. The programme successfully promoted awareness and encouraged students to become advocates for tobacco-free living.
