The School of Pharmacy, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, successfully organized a distinguished One-Day Interactive Scientific Workshop on “Regulatory Aspects and Biostatistical Data Analysis in Health Sciences” on 25 July 2026 at the Academic Block, DSU. 12 faculty members from the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) actively participated in the workshop. The workshop served as an intellectually stimulating platform that bridged the domains of regulatory science, research methodology, and contemporary biostatistical applications in healthcare.
The highlight of the workshop was the enlightening guest lecture delivered by Dr. Balakumar Pitchai, Professor and Director, Research Training & Publications, Office of Research and Development, Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology, Thanjavur. Through a compelling blend of academic rigor and practical insights, he elucidated the evolving regulatory landscape governing health sciences research and emphasized the indispensable role of biostatistical analytics in evidence-based decision-making. Participants were exposed to advanced concepts in data interpretation, statistical reasoning, regulatory compliance, research ethics, and scientific reporting. The workshop concluded on a highly inspirational note, leaving participants enriched with contemporary knowledge, enhanced research competencies, and a renewed commitment to scientific excellence.
