CATH LAB 2.0: INTEGRATING KNOWLEDGE WITH CLINICAL EXCELLENCE ON 19-06-2026
The Department of Cardiovascular Technology successfully organized “Cathlab 2.0”, on 19th June 2026. It is an innovative academic initiative aimed at transforming classroom learning into practical clinical understanding. The program served as an excellent platform for students to explore the dynamic environment of a cardiac catheterization laboratory and gain hands-on exposure to real-world procedural practices. A major attraction of the event was the Mock Cath Lab Demonstration, where students meticulously showcased the workflow, sophisticated equipment, and professional responsibilities involved in cardiovascular interventions. This experiential learning activity fostered collaboration, enhanced technical awareness, and strengthened peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.
Students delivered an engaging presentation on the History and Evolution of the Cath Lab, tracing its remarkable journey from conventional diagnostic procedures to advanced interventional cardiology practices. The centerpiece of the event was the enlightening guest lecture titled “Newer Trends and Recent Advances in Interventional Cardiology” delivered by Mr. Nagarajan. The session provided participants with valuable insights into emerging technologies, innovative devices, contemporary techniques, and future prospects in cardiovascular interventions.Adding a vibrant and interactive dimension to the program, a “Connections” Game was conducted by Crooke's Club through encouraging active participation and critical thinking among attendees.
