Awareness program in School of Agricultural Sciences
An Awareness Programme was successfully conducted on 17.09.2025 by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of the School of Agricultural Sciences for the first-year students of both Agriculture and Horticulture streams to educate them about the role and significance of the ICC within educational institutions, workplaces, and society. The session was conducted to educate students about the types of complaints handled by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), including harassment, inappropriate behavior, and gender-based discrimination. The sessions began with an insightful address by the Presiding Officer,
Dr. Suganthi, who highlighted the legal framework of the ICC under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and emphasized the relevance of the committee in empowering students, especially women to voice their concerns without fear.
