The First Year D.Pharm Annual-I students of the School of Pharmacy organized an industrial visit to K.S. Varier's Ashtanga Ayurvedics Pvt. Ltd., Somarasampettai, Trichy, on 29.04.2026.
A total of 46 students, accompanied by 2 faculty members, participated in the visit. The industrial visit was organized to provide students with practical exposure to the manufacturing and processing of Ayurvedic medicines and to enhance their understanding of traditional pharmaceutical practices.
During the visit, the students observed various stages involved in the preparation, processing, packaging, and storage of Ayurvedic formulations. The industry experts explained the importance of quality control, raw material selection, hygiene, and safety measures followed in Ayurvedic pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The visit was highly informative and beneficial for the students, helping them gain practical knowledge about Ayurvedic drug manufacturing and industrial pharmacy practices. The industrial visit was completed with active participation from the students and faculty members.
