The School of Engineering and Technology at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU), in association with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, successfully organized a one-day hands-on training program on “Drone-Based Communication Networks for Defence Applications.”
The training session featured Mr. Sathiyamoorthy Karuppiah, Senior Engineer at Gemicates Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, as the Resource Person. He provided in-depth insights into drone communication technologies, their applications in defence sectors, and practical exposure to emerging trends in unmanned aerial communication systems.
The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. V. Sekar, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, DSU. Associate Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty members, students, and actively participated in the session, making it highly interactive and informative.
The program aimed to enhance students’ technical knowledge and practical skills in advanced communication systems, particularly focusing on real-world defence applications.
The training was held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Room No. 508, 5th Floor, SET Block, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike.
The event concluded successfully, equipping participants with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in drone-based communication technologies.
