CLAVIS -A key to clinical suturing PA Workshop on 27-02-2026

The CLAVIS – A Key to Clinical Suturing Workshop was successfully conducted on 27 February 2026 by Department of Physician Assistant, School of Allied Health Sciences, DSU. The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance the practical surgical skills of Physician Assistant students by providing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in suturing techniques. The session commenced with an inaugural ceremony, followed by an informative lecture delivered by the resource person Dr. Mohan Raj, MBBS, MS (Ortho), DNB (Ortho), Assistant Surgeon, Alangudi Government Hospital, on the principles of wound closure, types of suturing materials, and various surgical techniques. The highlight of the workshop was the hands-on suturing practice session, during which students actively practiced different suturing techniques under expert supervision.
