NSS - Campus Cleaning Activity VI - 12th July 2024
NSS Unit of School of Engineering and Technology has organized a campus cleaning activity on 12th July 2024 from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm in the University premises. Dr P Geetha Associate Professor and Head of ECE, School of Engineering and Technology, address the gathering and insisted the students about the importance of keeping our environment clean which provides a very healthy society to the future generation people. Further, she encouraged the students to take part in the social activities like NSS and insisted the students to follow the same in their home and living environments. All the Students of First year B. Tech. B3, B4 and B5 sections and NSS student volunteers were involved in the campus cleaning activities. During the activity, students actively participated in the field work by doing administration of guard maintenance for protecting the coconut trees near the SET building and cleaning the campus by removing dry wastes like plastic wrappers, cups, water bottles and other disposables wastes in our DSU campus. All the wastage was collected in the garbage bag and handed over to maintenance in charge of DSU for safe disposal. Mr Arunkumar AP/CSE and Mr Balaji, English Ph. D. Research scholar was accompanying with the students. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr R Meganathan, NSS Coordinator - SET, Prof/Mathematics.
