NSS - Campus Cleaning Activity V - 2nd July 2024

NSS Unit of School of Engineering and Technology has organized a campus cleaning activity on 2nd July 2024 from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm in the University premises. NSS Coordinator, Dr R Meganathan, Professor, Department of Mathematics - SET, address the gathering and insisted the students about the importance of keeping our environment clean which provides a very healthy society to the future generation people. Even though NSS activities are in the curriculum, he encouraged the students to take part in the social activities like NSS and insisted the students to follow the same in their home and living environments. All the Students of First year B. Tech.  A13, B1 and B2 sections and third year NSS student volunteers were involved in the campus cleaning activities. During the activity, students actively participated in the field work by doing administration of guard maintenance for protecting the coconut trees near the SET building and student’s canteen cleaning the campus by removing dry wastes like plastic wrappers, cups, water bottles and other disposables wastes in our DSU campus. All the wastage was collected in the garbage bag and handed over to maintenance in charge of DSU for safe disposal. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr R Meganathan, NSS Coordinator - SET, Prof/ Mathematics.
