Gender Issues in Workplace - 09 August 2023
An orientation programme on "Gender Issues in Workplace" was conducted by ICC in association with Rotary Club of Tiruchirappalli Shakthi on 09.08.2023 at 3.30 p.m. in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University. Members from Rotary Club of Tiruchirappalli Shakthi and around 150 students participated in the programme from various schools like Agriculture, Engineering, Management, Medicine, Allied Health Sciences, Law, Nursing and Paramedical. The chief guest Dr. K. Ramakrishnan, Managing Director and CEO, Athma Hospitals and Research, Trichy, spoke in detail by giving real time examples on the issues that all people face in the workplace. He insisted that to overcome these problems, proper education to parents, government schemes to be known to all, the appointment process to be neutral, and fair training should be given to everyone. Also, students must be given training on 'life skills' to manage any situations in their life.
