Interventional Day Celebration - 15th February 2024

The "Interventional Day" celebration began with the stirring rendition of "TAMIL THAI VALZTHU" followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries and chief guest. The presence of distinguished personalities added to the grandeur of the event, including Dr. D. Dhanasekar, Registrar, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Dr. A. Thulasi, Dean, Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, Prof. A. Pechiammal, Dean, School of Paramedical Sciences, and Dr. K. Rekha, Associate Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences.

Mrs. Eswari S.S, Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Technology, warmly welcomed and addressed the gathered audience. Felicitation was extended to our esteemed chief guest, Dr. N. Senthilkumar Nallusamy, by our registrar Dr. Dhanasekar.D, who presented a memento and a book as a token of gratitude. Dr. K. Rekha, Associate Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences, delivered a lecture on Myocardial Infarction, engaging the students of Allied Health Sciences in an interactive session. Dr. N. Senthilkumar Nallusamy commenced his guest lecture by emphasizing the importance of organ donation and discussing cardiac interventions conducted in the Cath lab, supplemented by animated videos. He awarded a silver coin to a student who correctly answered questions related to his lecture. Furthermore, a skit on Basic Life Support (CPR) was performed, accompanied by a practical demonstration of essential life-saving techniques. Ms. Harini, Tutor in the Department of Cardiac Technology, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. The event concluded with the rendition of the national anthem.
