Department of Mathematics, School of Engineering and Technology has organized a seminar on Computational Mathematics in Engineering and Technology on 17th May 2023 @ 3.00 PM in Lecture Hall I.
On behalf of the Department of Mathematics, Dr Sanjay Singh, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, welcomed the gathering and shared his expertise on why computational Mathematics is needed for the Engineering students. Dr N Parthasarathy, Associate Professor of Mathematics, introduced the resource person of the session Dr S Vimal Kumar, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics, KGISL Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. Later, Dr R Sathiya Priya, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics, felicitated the gathering.
The resource person delivered a lecture about what is computational Mathematics and how it was incorporated in computer science fields and shared his expertise and knowledge with visual images.
All the second year B. Tech were attended the session and interacted with the resource person as and when it is required. The event was concluded at 04.10 PM with vote of thanks by the Organizing Secretary Dr R Meganathan, Associate Professor of Mathematics.
