NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY - TECHTOPIA 2K24 - 28th February 2024
Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Trichy celebrated the National Science Day-TECHTOPIA 2K24 on 28 th February 2024. This vibrant celebration of innovation and
scientific exploration, was organised by ‘The Brainiacs – Science club’ led by Dr. V. Senthamarai Selvi under the Aegis of Students’ Affairs Division. This event brought together distinguished guests, Researchers, faculty members and enthusiastic students to commemorate the spirit of scientific inquiry. This Program began with “Tamil Thai Vazhthu” followed by Lamp Lighting. Dr. J. Pathma, Associate Dean, Students’ Affairs welcomed the gathering. Vice Chancellor Dr. C. K. Ranjan offered Presidential Address. The Registrar Dr. D. Dhanasekaran offered felicitations. Deans and Associate Deans of various Schools and Centre for Research and Accreditation were among the dignitaries present. The Chief Guest Dr. S. Arul Daniel, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Trichy addressed the gathering. He delivered a lecture on the topic “The boundlessness of Science” which nurtured young minds. This was followed by speech and a mime show by students depicting the importance of Science. The day was marked by the inauguration of three new clubs viz., Yoga Club, Chess Club and Martial Arts Club under the aegis of Student Affairs’, reflecting the diverse interests and passions of the students. The event culminated in a joyous prize distribution ceremony, where outstanding achievers of various events namely Elocution, Poster presentation, Face painting, Verbal maestro, Image Rapport, Best from waste and Mime conducted on the theme “Building Trust in Science” were recognized and applauded. More than 250 students competed and showcased their talents. Ms. Ezhil Nila, Student Secretary, Science club proposed vote of thanks and the program ended with National Anthem. Techtopia 2K24 served as a beacon of inspiration, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and creativity among students.
