World Radio Day Celebration - 15th February 2024
Under the Aegis of Student Affairs division, “360 Creatives” the Fine Arts Club at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Trichy organized an exhilarating event titled "Radio Shack" in commemoration of World Radio Day on 15th February 2024. This vibrant competition served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity and passion for radio broadcasting, echoing the theme of this year's World Radio Day celebration.
"Radio Shack" was more than just a competition, it was a celebration of the power of radio as a medium of communication, information, and entertainment. Participants were tasked with creating and presenting their own radio stations, each with a unique identity and programming line-up. From music shows to talk shows, from news bulletins to interactive segments, the creativity on display was truly inspiring. The competition judged not only the content of the radio stations but also the presentation skills and technical proficiency of the participants. A total of seven teams participated and exhibited their talents. Dr. Pathma J, Associate Dean Students’ Affairs offered felicitations as well as formed the part of judging panel along with Dr. Sasi Kumar G, Associate Dean, SET and Prof. Bobby N, Faculty coordinator of Fine arts club.
Ms. Bhavanya & Team from School of law bagged the I prize and Mr. Benjamin Franklin & Team from School of Physiotherapy bagged the II prize. The III place was shared by Ms. Dee Flintoff Mary & Team from School of Agricultural Sciences] and Ms. Harini & Team from Srinivasan Medical college and hospital.
The event brought together students and faculty members from diverse backgrounds, all united by their love for radio and their desire to express themselves through this timeless medium.
