Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University welcomed its 2nd batch (2023-24) of 1st year medical students on 4th October 2023. Dr. A. Thulasi, Dean, Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital welcomed the gathering. The honourable Chancellor of the University Thiru. A. Srinivasan graced the occasion with his presence. In his presidential address, he asked the students to respect their parents and elders, be humble and serve humanity with dignity and pride. The Pro Chancellor of the University Smt. Ananthalakshmi Kathiravan and Vice Chancellor Dr. C. K. Ranjan in their felicitations spoke on the nobility of the profession and encouraged the budding doctors. The chief guest of the event, Motivational Speaker Prof. Dr. Parveen Sultana asked the students to make use of the opportunities to the best possible extent and be successful in life. Dr. K. Rekha, Professor and Head, Department of Physiology made the students to take the Hippocritic oath. The Deans and Associate Deans of various schools, Professors, parents, staff and students were present. Dr. Sriranganathan, Assistant Professor of Community Medicine delivered the vote of thanks.
