NATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION

EVENTS: Competitions (drawing, oration and poetry writing) for students from all schools/colleges of DSU were organised on themes related to National Youth Day celebration/ideologies of Swamy Vivekananda.
Students from all schools and colleges of DSU participated in the three competitions on pre announced themes (like “My vision for New India”) and following rules for each category of events. Two faculty judges from different schools and colleges of DSU evaluated the students’ performance using predesigned structured valuation sheets, based on which the prize winners for each category of events were decided.

Valedictory event concluding the institutional Youth Day celebrations for 2023, along with prize distributions for the winners of all three competitions held on 11/01/2023. The event started with Tamil Thai Vazhthu by the students of SMCH. Dr.A.Thulasi, Dean of SMCH, welcomed the Chief guests, faculty and the students. It was followed by felicitations by Dr.M.Ravichandran, Registrar of DSU and the Presidential address by Dr.C.K.Ranjan, Vice Chancellor of DSU. All the Chief guests emphasised the responsibilities of the young students of DSU who are the nation’s future and recalled the vital sayings of Swamy Vivekananda related to these concepts. Then the winners of drawing, oration and poetry writing contests were lauded for their performance and prizes and certificates of appreciation were handed over to them by the Chief guests. The prize winning art works were also displayed. Certificates of participation were issued to all students who participated in the competitions. The event concluded with Vote of thanks by the organising member Dr.Moonishaa.T.M and National anthem by the students of SMCH.
