The School of Pharmacy and the School of Agricultural Sciences, DSU, jointly organized the celebration of National Ayurveda Day 2025 on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, with the theme “Ayurveda for People and Planet.” The event aimed to highlight the relevance of Ayurveda in promoting holistic health while emphasizing its contribution to environmental sustainability.
The program was graced by the presence of Mr. T.R. Sasi Varier, Executive Director, Ashtanga Ayurvedics (P) Ltd, Trichy, who served as the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring address on the importance of integrating Ayurveda into modern healthcare practices. The event was held under the esteemed guidance of Chief Patron Shri. A. Srinivasan, Chancellor, DSU, and Patron Smt. Ananthalakshmi Kathiravan, Pro-Chancellor, DSU. The leadership and support of Program Advisors, Dr. C.K. Ranjan, Vice Chancellor, DSU, and Dr. Dhanasekaran Devaraj, Registrar, DSU, further strengthened the program.
The celebration was convened by Dr. S. Akilandeswari, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, and Dr. K. Chozhan, Dean of the School of Agricultural Sciences, whose combined efforts ensured the smooth planning and execution of the event. The Organizing Committee, comprising Mrs. V. Kavitha, Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy; Dr. A. Vijai Ananth, Assistant Professor, SAS; and Dr. T.M. Kamesh, Assistant Professor, School of Agricultural Sciences, coordinated the various sessions and activities.The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty, creating a platform to appreciate Ayurveda’s wisdom and its role in sustainable healthcare for future generations.
