Our Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, School of Pharmacy, proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day of our nation on 15th August 2025 with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervor, and a spirit of unity. The celebration began with a solemn and respectful flag hoisting ceremony, where the National Flag was unfurled by the Chief Patron. The gathering resonated with the singing of the National Anthem, filling the campus with pride and reverence.
The program featured a series of cultural and patriotic performances by students, including songs, dances, and skits that highlighted the sacrifices of freedom fighters and emphasized the values of freedom, responsibility, and nation-building. A special address was delivered by the chief guest and dean, who reminded students of the significance of the day and urged them to contribute actively to the progress of the country through discipline, knowledge, and innovation.
As part of the event, students also presented speeches and poems on patriotism, reflecting their deep respect for the nation and their aspirations for India’s future. The celebration created a platform to instill the values of national integration, responsibility, and commitment to service among young learners.
The program concluded with the distribution of sweets to all participants and attendees, adding warmth to the occasion. The entire event, organized with the active participation of faculty, staff, and students, served as a proud reminder of our rich heritage and the collective responsibility of every citizen to uphold the dignity of freedom.
The 79th Independence Day celebration was not only a tribute to the glorious past but also a reaffirmation of our commitment to shaping responsible, patriotic, and service-oriented professionals for the nation.
