The National Digital Library of India (NDLi) Club hosted an event on February 14, 2025, in the library. The event featured a Registration Drive and an NDLi Awareness Program, organized under the auspices of the Students' Affairs department. The goal was to spread awareness about the NDLi (National Digital Library of India) e-resources.
The event was coordinated by Ms. Subashini K, the NDLi Club Coordinator and Librarian (Non-Medical), and Ms. Sudha S, the NDLi Club Secretary and Librarian (Medical and Paramedical). It was convened by Dr. Pathma J, the Associate Dean of Students' Affairs, with guidance from the Registrar, Dr. Dhanasekaran Devaraj.
During the event, an awareness lecture was delivered by Dr. G. Sasikumar, Associate Dean of the Department of Computer Science Engineering at the School of Engineering and Technology, and a patron of the NDLi Club.
This event provided students with an opportunity to learn about the available NDLi e-resources and how to use them effectively. In his lecture, Dr. G. Sasikumar emphasized the importance and benefits of utilizing NDLi resources.
The student president Mr. V. Kumaran shared his thoughts about the use of the facilities which received much appreciation from his peers. Dr. Pathma J encouraged the students to use the facility available and appreciated the thoughts shared by the student president. Ms. Subashini K offered the welcome note and concluding remarks for the session.
A total of 120 students enthusiastically participated and provided positive feedback about the event.
