BPT and MPT Students Freshers Day - 21st October 2024
On October 21, 2024, the School of Physiotherapy held its inaugural ceremony for the BPT and MPT students of the 2024-25 academic year. The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Raja, Head and Zonal Medical Officer of STAR Health Insurance, Trichy. The Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. C.K. Ranjan, and Registrar, Dr. Dhanasekaran Devaraj of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, also attended and contributed their valuable insights.
Professor Dr. Senthil Kumar delivered a warm welcome address, emphasizing the critical role of physiotherapists across various fields and offering an inspiring message for the aspiring students. Chief Guest Mr. Raja gave an insightful talk on the vast opportunities for physiotherapists in both clinical and non-clinical settings, highlighting the expanding career prospects in today’s world.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. C.K. Ranjan, spoke to the new students about DSU's unique educational approach and global standards, outlining the challenges and the comprehensive values integrated into their program. Honorable Registrar, Dr. Dhanasekaran, addressed the importance and versatility of the physiotherapy profession, emphasizing its significant role across diverse fields.
Dean Dr. Ramesh Kumar Jayaraman concluded the faculty speeches with an encouraging message about the future of the BPT program, potential career paths, and campus life. He also discussed parents' role in supporting their children's educational journey at DSU.
The event included an interactive session where parents expressed their appreciation for the induction program and the university’s academic roadmap for the next four years. A senior student delivered the Vote of Thanks, and the program concluded with a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem by third-year students.
