FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (AHS) - 02-March-2024
The School of Allied Health Sciences organized a comprehensive "Faculty Development Program" on 02.03.2024 at Lecture Hall-III. Aimed at Enhancing teaching effectiveness and promoting innovative pedagogical practices. Lecture delivered by Dr. R. Parthasarathy, M.D., Associate Professor, Department of Community Medicine at KAPV Government Medical College, Trichy.
The program commenced with the uplifting notes of the 'Tamil Thai Valzthu' and started with the welcome address given by Dr. K. Rekha, Associate Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences.
Dr. R. Parthasarathy delivered an insightful guest lecture focusing on various aspects of educational pedagogy.
He covered essential topics such as:
The Faculty Development Program provided participating educators with invaluable knowledge and practical strategies to elevate their teaching practices.
Attendees gained a deeper understanding of evidence-based teaching methodologies and acquired tools to enhance student learning experiences across diverse academic disciplines.
The Guest Speaker gave his insights on "Bloom's Taxonomy”, "Cognitive Thinking", "Miller's Pyramid", "Teaching Psychomotor Skills", "Stage of Competency and the steps to achieve it".
Felicitation serves as inspiration to others and motivation to be who you are. Our Associate Dean, Dr. K. Rekha, felicitated our chief guest, Dr. R. Parthasarathy, and presented a memento as a token of gratitude.
Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Sathya Mohan, Associate Professor in the School of Allied Health Sciences.
The event concluded with the National Anthem.
