Youth Parliament - 9th December 2023

Youth Parliament was organized by School of Law, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University on 9th December, 2023 on the topics Uniform Civil Code and Prohibition of Child Marriage Act (i.e. change of marriage age of girls from 18 to 21). Students of School of Law, from both 1st and 2nd years participated in the event. It was held on by two sessions, first session at the morning from 9:30 AM to 10:50AM and another session held at afternoon from 2:15PM to 4:50 PM. Questions were posted by both the parties. One was the ruling party and the other was opposition party. Evaluation about the participants was done by arguments between the parties heated up during the questioning session. The youth parliament ended successfully with the help of the organizers and volunteers. The School of Law faculties worked in unison and coordination to successfully conduct the programme.
