Problem Solving and Ideation workshop on Python - 12-Dec-2023

A workshop titled "Problem Solving and Ideation workshop on Python" was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Engineering and Technology in association with Institution Innovation Council on 12/12/2023 in the Seminar Hall at 10.00 a.m. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. J. Mercy Geraldine, Professor and Mr. M. Arunprakash, Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology.
 
Dr. C. Shyamala, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, K. Ramakrishnan College of Technology, Trichy was the resource person for the workshop. The workshop commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu followed by the Welcome address delivered by Dr. J. Mercy Geraldine, Professor, Department of CSE. Dr. Sasikumar Gurumoorthy, Associate Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, delivered the Felicitation address.  The resource person was introduced and the session was handed over to her.
 
The resource person highlighted the features of Python that makes Python more suitable for problem solving. She enriched the students with knowledge on the basic concepts of Python and how it could be used for problem solving in our day-to-day life. She also motivated the students to develop new strategies of problem solving using Python. The resource person also gave hands-on-training to students on writing simple Python application programs.

The workshop came to an end with the Vote of thanks delivered by Mr. M. Arunprakash, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, followed by the National Anthem.
