The School of Law, Dhanlakshmi Srinivasan University, conducted a Legal Aid Camp in Konalai, Tiruchirappalli District. We departed the bus at 9:55 AM in college and reached at 10:25 AM. Then, we interacted with the head of panchayat and headed to the spot at 10:40 AM with his guidance.
Students and Faculties made a conversation with the public individuals based on their queries with respect to legal matters. Queries mainly focused on legal issues in Daily wages, Property, Government schemes and documents like patta, chitta, will etc. These are all clarified by the Students and Faculties of School of Law.
Also, Students and Faculties of School of Law clarified the doubts in Family matters like Divorce, Partition and Guardianship. Queries related to easement rights also clarified during the conversation. Also, we wrote and collected the petitions of public individuals which need to be submitted with the Collector of Tiruchirappalli District.
Legal Awareness was created by the Students among the public with regard to courts and legal procedures. Then, the Head of the Panchayat thanked the Students, Faculties and Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University for creating legal awareness and clarified the legal queries to the people of their village.
The Legal aid camp was very well received by the public individuals and they were actively participated with full support. The School of Law faculties worked in unison and coordination to successfully conduct the programme.
