"World Pharmacists Day" was successfully celebrated at School of Pharmacy Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Trichy on 25th September to advocate and appreciate the role of Pharmacist in improving health conditions around the world in presence of our Hon. Air Marshal Dr. C.K. Ranjan, Vice Chancellor, DSU, Trichy. On this year’s theme "Pharmacists Strengthening Health Systems-Angadaan Mahadan" & observing the vision of International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) & World Health Organization (WHO). To celebrate the day various events like Elocution, Pharma quiz, Essay writing, Logo Designing and Drawing was conducted.Students showed great enthusiasm to be apart of this celebration and successfully organized. The celebration was started with welcome address followed by greeting the Dignitaries on the Dias by Dean Dr.S. Akilandeswari. She also wished all the faculties and budding students by mentioning that pharmacists are silent pillar of our Healthcare Ecosystem. Dr. Sekar.V Dean Planning & Development, DSU, Trichy also Addressed the gathering by wishing all the pharmacist and asked students to be responsible and utilize all the industrial facilities in our campus. Chief guest Mr.N.C. Ravichandran M. Pharm, PhD, Assistant Director of Drug Control, Trichy zone have addressed the session and motivated students to follow ethical practice and to contribute for nation development through pharmacy profession. Mr. Senthil Velan Drug Inspector also joined the Programme and motivated the students. All students and staff have taken pharmacist oath and event was successfully completed after Vote of Thanks and National Anthem.
