The School of Law, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University,Know your Rights Responsibilities Club under the aegis of Student’s Affairs organized Drug Awareness Programme on 11th August 2023 at 11.00.m, BA LLB.(Hons.),Engineering Block.The session started with Oath taken by School of Law students, SI, Samayapuram station was invited as a chief guest for creating an awareness on the ill-effects of drug and alcohol consumption. In her motivational speech, informed that every day most of the youth consuming drugs causes more death in our society due to accident,suiside and sexual abuse. She also added that various drugs used by the addicts and the short-term and long-term effects of their usage, which may lead to health problems, harmful effects on the brain and genetic disorders. She touched upon various causes of addiction to drugs and alcohol. The programme benefited a lot to the students by making them aware of the harm of drugs intake. It create awareness to the youth for bringing good society.
