ONE DAY NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON LABOUR LAW REFORMS - 4th MAY 2023
One day National workshop on "LABOUR LAW REFORMS" was organized by School of Law, in Lecture Hall II , Academic Block, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Tiruchirappalli-112 on 4th May, 2023 from 11.30 am to 5.00 pm. The workshop was started with Tamil Thai Valthu by the students. The Dignitaries lit the lamp and started this program. The session start with welcome address by Dr. E. Venugopal, Dean ,School of Law, welcomed all the dignitaries, presenters and all present in the programme with a brief introduction on Labour reforms. As a token of
gratitude and appreciation, the chief guests Dr. S. Murugesan, M.L., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Law, Government Law College, Trichy was presented by shawl by Dr.
M. Ravichandran, Registrar, DSU. Mrs. J. Janani, Assistant Professor, School of Law, introduced the Chief Guest Dr. S. Murugesan, M.L., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Law, Government Law College, Trichy started the session pointing out importance of Law and International Labor Organization .He insist the students to learn foreign language like Spanish and French. He explained about Labor Law will come under concurrent list and highlighted about PREAMBLE and finally he concluded speech that every students should have perfect specialization in Labour Law for future generation.
In II sessions, Mrs. G. Jaya Sheela, M.L., Assistant Professor of Law, Government Law College, Trichy demonstrate about Labour law and existing labour law. She disclose that Labour law should be reformed and quoted few examples and insist latest reforms with four major labour code includes Code on Wages 2019, Code on Industrial Relation 2020, Code on Social Security 2020 and Occupational Safety, Health & Working Condition Code 2020 and finally concluded with social security.
In III sessions, Mr. K. Jeyabalan, M.Sc., M.L., Additional Commissioner of Labour, Trichy, insist that every students should know their roles and responsibility needed for the society and highlighted to learn more about labour law .Finally he ended with labour law has good future for their career.
The programme was ended with vote of thanks by Mr. P. Ragu Balan, School of Law, in which he thanked the honorable chief guest for sparing his valuable time and gracing the occasion. He thanked the Management and organizing committee for making the presence felt and untiring efforts to ensure successful conduct of the event. After attending this workshop, the participants became more professionally competent about the Labour reforms.
