The School of Law, Internal Compliance Committee Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, conducted a Guest Lecture Programme on 23rd June 2023 on “Violence against women” at 3.15 p.m, Academic Block.
The programme started with Tamil Thai vazuthu. Dr.Prof.(Dr).E.Venugopal Professor and Dean ,Department of School of Law welcomed the gathering and R.Ramya, Assistant Professor introduced the speaker Mrs.P.Azeem, Inspector of Police, Anti - Child Trafficking Unit, Trichy. The resource person started the session about acid attacks, Child Trafficking, cyber crime to create awareness among women. She insists not to involve in social media App (Kavalan). And she shared the toll free number for safety purpose of women. She highlighted about various Dowry Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Working Women Harassment. “Beti Bacho and Beti Pado” scheme was implemented for child education. She insists few incidences in and around Trichy are affected mostly by girls. She shared child helpline number, Toll free number, Chief office control room number to circulate among friends .She insist to save Kavalan SOS and highlighted about new scheme introduced in Tamil Nadu by giving security for women and girl child from 10.00 P.M. to 6.00 A.M . She interacted with students and clears all doubts. Nearly 100 students participated and benefited through this session. Dr. D.
