Helpline : +91 63841 76766 | 63841 76769Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University celebrated World Creativity and Innovation day on 21.04.2023 (Friday) to ignite young minds by nurturing their innovative ideas and to activate their dreams. The main theme of this program is to solve real-world societal problem by design thinking and to create opportunities for students to showcase their innovative thoughts. The event was organised by Dr. Kamaraj Kennedy, Ms. G. Gunalarasi, and Ms. N. Nivetha from the School of Agricultural Sciences. Two guest speakers were invited to share their experience on different facets of creativity and innovation. As a part of the celebration, Inventor-2023 competition was organised, the students from different school participated. A total of 7 teams registered and exhibit their innovative ideas in the form of complete working model, prototype and posters.
The celebration was started with Tamizh thaai vaazhthu. Dr. M. Ravichandran, Dean, SAS gave the welcome speech, followed by Dr. M. Ravichandran, Registrar, DSU, delivered the presidential address.
The chief Guest Dr. V. M. Jaganathan, Assistant Professor, NIT, Trichy discuss about lateral thinking, creativity, rights to patents, intellectual property, and different sorts of innovation. The second speaker Dr. J. Jaibaby gave speech about creativity, how to think and how to transform the innovative ideas into reality.
The chief guests along with Dean, SAS distributed the medal and certificate to best performer in “Inventor-23” competition. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. R. Kamaraj Kennedy, SAS. The event was ended with National anthem.
