The English Literary Club, under the aegis of Students’ Affairs at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU), successfully organized a Poster Presentation Competition on March 19, 2025, cantered around the theme "Save Water for a Greener Tomorrow." The event aimed to raise awareness about water conservation and its critical role in ensuring a sustainable future.
The success of the event was made possible through the guidance and support of Chief Patron, Shri A. Srinivasan, Chancellor, DSU; Patron, Smt. Ananthalakshmi Kathiravan, Pro-Chancellor, DSU; and Programme Advisors, Dr. Dhanasekaran Devaraj, Registrar, DSU, and Dr. J. Mathana, Dean Academics. The event was convened by Prof. Dr. R. Vijayalakshmi, Students’ Affairs In-charge, and expertly organized by Dr. C. Priya, Coordinator of the English Literary Club, along with dedicated student coordinators.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines, who showcased their creativity and knowledge through visually engaging and thought-provoking posters. Each poster reflected unique perspectives on water conservation, emphasizing innovative solutions and the importance of responsible water usage.
A panel of esteemed faculty members evaluated the posters based on content, delivery, persuasiveness, timing, and language. After thorough deliberation, the winners were announced as follows:
- First Prize: Ms. Sultana Razia (II - CVT, School of AHS)
- Second Prize: Ms. Deepika M (II MBBS, School of Medicine)
- Third Prize: M. Deekshitha (III - CSE AI&DS, SET)
The event concluded with an inspiring address by the organizing committee, encouraging students to continue their efforts in promoting environmental sustainability. The competition not only provided a platform for creative expression but also reinforced the significance of water conservation in daily life.
