The “WORLD ANAESTHESIA DAY” Programme was organized by the Department of Operation theatre and anaesthesia Technology, School of allied health Sciences, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University Samayapuram, Trichy, in the theme of "Heroes behind the mask" on 19 th October 2024 in Lecture hall III 6 th floor, between 2.15pm to 4.10pm.
The programme commenced with the Master of Ceremonies by the Students Paneer Selvam and Dharnika under the guidance of Ms. Umaira Fathima Tutor uplifting notes “TAMIL THAI VALZTHU”, followed by lamp lighting by the dignitaries and chief guest.
Under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Dr. C. K. Ranjan, Registrar Dr. Dhanasekaran Devaraj and The presence of esteemed dignitaries further elevated the event Dr.A.Thulasi Dean of Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, Dr. K. Rekha Associate Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences, Dr.S.Akilandeswari Dean, School of Pharmacy, Prof.A.Pechiammal Dean, School of Nursing who lent their support and time and reinforced the university’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The event drew a diverse audience-comprising faculty and students from the school of Allied Health Sciences. Ms. Janet Jacklin Tutor welcomed the gathering present.
Dr. K. Rekha, Associate Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences felicitated our chief guest, Dr.Ramkumar Subburaj MD Cardiac Anaesthesiologist, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan medical college and Hospital ,Siruvachur and presented a memento as a token of gratitude. The students of I Year Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology students performed a fabulous anaesthesia Song.
Next to that, A group of I st year students performed Mime with the concept of “Life of Anaesthesia Technologist”
Next to that, I year student Paneer and III year student Dharnika invited the chief guest to give a lecture. Our chief guest, Dr. Ram Kumar Subburaj MD Cardiac Anaesthesiologist started his guest lecture on the topic of "Current and Future trends in Anaesthesia". Students of Operation theatre and anaesthesia technology gained knowledge about current practice in anaesthesia. His lecture helped the attendees to understand the Future AI in field of anaesthesia.
The awarding of prize came next to the following session for Model making, Drawing, Vegetable carving. Dr. K.Rekha Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences and Dr. Ram Kumar Subburaj Chief guest, distributed the prizes.
Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Ms. M.Reshma Assistant Professor Department of OTAT. Following the event, concluded with the national anthem. OTAT Faculties, Ms. Reshma Assistant Professor, Ms. Janet Jacklin Tutor, Ms. Priyadharshini Tutor, Ms. Umaira Fathima Tutor, Ms. Mithila Tutor, Ms.Kaleema Tutor, Ms.Archa Tutor and Mr. Karthi Tutor coordinated the whole event, under the guidance of Dr. K.
