The school of Allied health, under the medical devices club has organized MED- TECH 25, a two days programme on 6.3.25 and 7.3.25 with the agenda of concept paper presentation, model making competition followed by a guest lecture by Dr. Varun Gopi, Associate Professor, National Institute of Technology, Trichy
The concept paper was conducted on 6.3.25. There were 14 teams participated with around 52 students from various programs of Allied Health sciences. The session was judged by Dr.T. Sriranganathan, Assistant professor, Department of community medicine, Srinivasan Medical College and hospital and Dr.N. Shanmugapriya, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences, School of Engineering and Technology, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University.
The model making competition was conducted with 4 teams and the session was judged by the chief guest Dr. Varungopi, Associate Professor, NIT, Trichy on 7.3.25.
The guest lecture program was conducted on the 7th of March, 2025, commenced with the esteemed master of ceremonies, executed by students Paneerselavan, Rupasri, and Naveen. The program started with the tamil thai vazhthu followed by lamp lighting by the Deans of various schools and Dr.Rekha MBBS., MD., Associate Dean, School of Allied Health sciences. The students from various programs of Allied health sciences and the students from School of Nursing participated in the program.
Our Associate Dean, Dr. K. Rekha, Dr. Sriranganathan and Deans of various schools felicitated our chief guest, Dr. Varungopi, and presented a memento as a token of gratitude.
The guest lecture was given by Dr.Varun Gopi, Associate Professor, NIT in the topic of ‘Introduction to AI and its application in medical image processing’. The prizes was distributed for students who won the concept presentation and model making by the chief guest followed by the mime and PG student Ms. Sangeetha presentation in the topic of Fistu track device.
Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.Sathya Mohan, Associate Professor, School of Allied Health Sciences and the program ended with national anthem.
