HACKATHON 1st day -17-12-2024

Day 1 – 17th December 2024

The DSU CODE SET 2K24 Hackathon commenced on 17th December 2024 with the Tamil Thaivazhtu, reflecting the cultural heritage and spirit of the event. The hackathon was officially inaugurated by Dr. Shankar DuraiKhannan, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, and Dr. V. Raju, Associate Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology.

Dr. N. ShanmugaPriya, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Dr. T. Sathis Kumar, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, felicitated the participants, motivating them to put forth their best efforts in the competition.

Throughout the day, the teams diligently worked on improving their project codes. Faculty members, volunteers, and members of the AI Club were actively present to guide and assist participants in refining their solutions. The first day was characterized by collaboration, creativity, and enthusiastic participation from all involved.

Day 2 – 18th December 2024

The second day began with teams showcasing their final projects to a distinguished panel of judges. The projects were evaluated based on their innovation, functionality, and overall presentation. The participants demonstrated creativity and technical acumen, impressing the judges with their solutions.

After thorough deliberation, the top three teams were announced as winners. The prizes were distributed by Dr. Shankar DuraiKhannan and Dr. O.S. Ashiq Rehman from the Centre for Research. Along with certificates of achievement, the winners received the following prizes:

• First Prize: Rs. 4000
• Second Prize: Rs. 3000
• Third Prize: Rs.2000

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. M. Jayasri, Assistant Professor and Event Coordinator. The 2-day hackathon came to a close with the National Anthem, marking the end of an inspiring and successful event.
