NSS - Campus Cleaning Activity IV - 26th June 2024
NSS Unit of School of Engineering and Technology has organized a campus cleaning activity on 26th June 2024 from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm in the University premises. Dr C Suresh, Professor, Department of EEE - SET, address the gathering and encouraged the students to take part in the social activities like NSS and insisted the students to follow the same in their home and living environments. All the Students of First year B. Tech. A10, A11 and A12 sections and third year NSS student volunteers were involved in the campus cleaning activities.
During the activity, students actively participated in the field work by doing administration of guard maintenance for protecting the guava trees near the girls’ hostel and cleaning the campus by removing dry wastes like plastic wrappers, cups, water bottles and other disposables wastes in our DSU campus. All the wastage was collected in the garbage bag and handed over to maintenance in charge of DSU for safe disposal. Mrs R Sasikala AP/EEE and Mr T Sathish Sudhandra Bharathi AP/Mech were also accompanying the students during the activity The program was ended with a vote of thanks by Dr R Meganathan, NSS Coordinator - SET, Prof/ Mathematics.
