Republic Day Celebrations in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University (DSU)- January 26, 2022

The 73rd Republic Day of our nation was celebrated in DSU on January 26, 2022, Wednesday. Madam Pro-Chancellor, Mrs Ananthalakshmi Kathiravan, hoisted the national flag and delivered the Republic Day address. Madam recollected the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, besides underscoring the grave challenges facing our nation like unemployment, poverty and environmental pollution and the need for overcoming the same. Further pointed out that development of science and technology is the reason behind the standing of our nation as one among the top in the world. Responsibilities lie on the shoulders of youth of our nation in taking our country in the growth trajectory. Republic Day pledge was taken by all the participants in all earnest.

Air Marshal Dr CK Ranjan, the Vice-Chancellor of DSU gave a special address on this occasion by reiterating the glorious achievements of Sri A Srinivasan, Chairman of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Charitable and Education Trust in the promotion of holistic education, particularly girls. A total transformation of higher education in Perambalur district can be attributed to the dedicated services rendered by the trust. The Vice- chancellor recapitulated the patriotic services being rendered by the Jawans at the borders. He expressed his confidence that overall growth of our university will certainly be accomplished through hard work, and dedication of students and faculty. He concluded by conveying his best wishes to all. Two of our students gave Republic Day address by highlighting the significance of the celebration and explained how our Republican nation bestowed ambience for their growth.
